Hi everyone, thank you for joining me and The Global Autism Project to spread evidence-based treatment for children with Autism around the world. Help me reach my fundraising goal that supports programs to train dedicated staff in effective methods to help students in their own communities.
There’s something to be said about a movement when people from all walks of life take the time to contribute and be apart of something greater than themselves. That’s the reason I chose to travel and contribute my time and skills with the Global Autism Project.
In the process I get to bring you all on this journey with me. Because after all, no movement is ever accomplished alone. Alone I can make a difference, but together we create a MOVEMENT!
Thank you for joining me on this journey to raise awareness and acceptance while changing the conversation about Autism globally.
Why have I joined The Global Autism Project?
The following is taken from their website:
Our collaborative training model is predicated on the belief that the best person to teach a child with autism in another country is a person from that country. By building local capacity in schools and communities worldwide, the Global Autism Project ensures support for these communities long after we are gone. Our work is focused on providing our partners with access to the tools and information they need to become the experts in their community, are prepared to teach others, and promote awareness and acceptance worldwide.
A strong focus on sustainability sets our training model apart. The final phase of partnership includes a local dissemination process, which is the only one of its kind in the field of autism services. We provide training and ongoing support in evidence-based teaching methods, administrative, outreach, and clinical best practices to each of our partner sites, empowering these centers and their staff to become the experts in their communities.
