Hi! My name is Frances Nieves. I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) working with children and young adults with Autism. My favorite part about my job is seeing the long-lasting impact of providing evidence-based teaching practices with this population. From teaching a child to communicate for the first time to helping a child be able to tolerate sitting in a doctor’s office in order to receive medical care, the skills that we teach them can be life changing for the children and their families.
I have been given the amazing opportunity to travel to Kenya with the Global Autism Project in February 2019. We will be working with the local autism center, providing training and empowering local educators to work with individuals with autism. I’m excited not only to share evidence-based practices, but also to learn how different cultural values and traditions will guide our behavior analytic practice.
I am hoping to raise $5,000 by the end of the year. The funds raised will go to the Global Autism Project so they can continue to affect change in the lives of children with autism around the world. Please join me in the moment for change.
Thank you for your support!
