Working in the field of Special Education in The United States I have been learning so much about Autism. Also, I learned that the United States is the only country that has a strong support system for autistic children and adults. Therefore, I committed to working with teachers and families in other countries to integrate the knowledge accumulated in the U.S. and create similar opportunities all around the world. I decided to join the forces with Global Autism Project, a non-profit organization, that promotes the acceptance and integration of individuals with autism by training and educating communities about autism, supporting parents, or establishing programs. I was blessed to be chosen as one of the professionals to volunteer at Czech Republic next July to share my knowledge with local communities.
For that, I fundraise to cover the programming and maintaining of international centers and the ongoing training of the partners and teachers over there.
80% of the fundraise covers organization's mission; 20% covers travel incidentals (orientation in NY & partner site logistics)
I count on your support and I believe together we can make a difference in those children's lives.
